Heather Gropp and Ian Boyko Endorse Scott Payne

Hoping that everyone had an enjoyable holiday break, Scott For SumOfUs.org is excited to add two names to the list of people endorsing Scott Payne as SumOfUs.org‘s Canadian Campaign Manager: Heather Gropp and Ian Boyko.

“I worked with Scott on a political leadership campaign in BC and he was an integral part of our social media team,” said Gropp.

Heather Gropp is a seasoned political organizer, dedicated community activist, and currently Executive Assistant to Leader of BC’s Official Opposition, Adrian Dix.

“Scott is a master of the twitter-sphere. He was well organized, always available to offer strategic advice, and worked well with our team (who were spread across two provinces and three cities),” added Gropp about her work with Payne.

“I love working with Scott for a variety of reasons,” said Ian Boyko, Research and Communications Officer for the Canadian Federation of Students BC, “he has almost no ego and as a result, takes feedback seriously and without any defensiveness.”

Boyko is a long-time Canadian political activist whose work has focused on creating a high quality system of post-secondary education in Canada that is accessible to all Canadians.

“Scott is whip smart and gets politics in a way that is mature and realistic, but not jaded or defeatist, and works very hard,” added Boyko on his experience working with Payne.

“Heather and Ian’s records of exceptional work speak for themselves,” said Payne. “Both Ian and Heather are talented Canadian political activists who are well-respected because they have worked long and hard to make a positive difference. People like this are role models for what I’m trying to do and I’m honoured by their support,” added Payne.
