Scott For SumOfUs.org has some exciting news to share. But first, we’d like to start off by thanking you for your help, kind words, and encouragement. We deeply appreciate those of you who took time out during the holidays to help Scott try to get a pretty cool job.
Today, Scott For SumOfUs.org found out that Scott has made it on to the next round of the application process, which involves a 30 minute interview via Skype. Scott’s interview is scheduled for this Friday, January 4 at 1pm EST and we figured one last push prior to the interview would be helpful.
So again, we need your help. But we promise that it will only take about 30 seconds.
What we’d like to do is send SumOfUs.org a friendly little bombardment of social media encouragement prior to Scott’s interview. More than 200 of you signed our petition, so we figure that more than 200 short messages should get SumOfUs’ attention.
You can send your message in one of two ways (or both, if you so choose).
If you’re on Twitter, please copy, paste, and post the following tweet before Scott’s interview on Friday, January 4 at 1pm EST:
Hey @Sum_Of_Us, I’m excited about having @scotthpayne as yr new Cdn Cpgn Mgr. I know #scott4sumofus is the way to go & hope you do too!
If Twitter isn’t your bag, then you can also send SumOfUs a message on Facebook via a status update. The message is similar, but doesn’t require any abbreviations, nor use a hashtag (#):
I’m excited to have Scott Payne as the new Canadian Campaign Manager for SumOfUs. I know that Scott is the right guy for the job and I hope they do too!
When you post the above to Facebook, make sure to type SumOfUs using the @ symbol (I.e. @SumOfUs) so as to tag the SumOfUs Facebook page in your post and alert them to the message. To properly tag the SumOfUs Facebook page, you need to re-type the whole message instead of copying and pasting it into Facebook.
If you haven’t liked the SumOfUs Facebook page, it will take a little bit for the page to come up as a tagging option. But if you type all of the characters (@SumofUs), the correct Facebook page should become your only tagging option.
Remember that we need the messages to be delivered before Scott’s interview. So we need you to post your message prior to Friday, January 4 at 1pm EST (or 10am PST, 11am MST, 12pm CST, 2pm AST, and 2:30pm NST).
